This is my first experience with this author. I feel like I am reading her first book. I felt like she made her own spin-off of 50 Shades of Grey. Mallory is always forgiving people. Her room mates for leaving her twice in a bar. Why did they do that? There was never a real explanation for it. Then out of nowhere she is accused of having an affair with David, her best friends boyfriend. Where did he even come from?? Then the threats and two kidnappings? Then Alex's mother and sister blame her for killing Alex's crazy brother,but they show up at the wedding and all is well. I felt like I was in a really bad life time movie. And the continuous non stop sex page after page actually became boring, and I love a good sex scene. Both books just seemed like a jumbled up poorly put together mess.. And I want even start with all of the ma'am and yes sir's. It just got old.. I'm gonna put this one to rest and not continue to book 3.Product details

Stone Unhinged picks up where Stone Shattered left us. Alex has returned back to England and Mallory is trying to recover from events that happened in the first book. She accepts a job to move to England to head up her department. Nervous about running into Alex, she takes the job anyway.
This book was much better for me than the first one. I still didn’t connect that well with Mallory. I feel that she is way too manipulated to be the strong character that I think they author was trying to make her. I know for her to get through what she has gone through a weak person couldn’t do that, but there were to many things that would happen or that would be said that contradicted that to me. The flow of the writing is still on par with the first book. You have a lot of the same characters coming back in this story so their storylines of course continue.
One thing that I do have to say is that I did NOT see what happen, happen. I was shocked and that is saying something because Ms. Harless shocked me in the first book and I kept looking for that same thing and it wasn’t what I thought. I have to commend an author that can keep me in the dark for so long on something. This was a fast easy read for me and overall it was a pretty good book. I look forward to checking out the final book of the series and see if Mallory and Alex are able to get their happily ever after.

4.5 stars. This is the 2nd installment in a trilogy about a seemingly cursed love between a Dominant and his submissive. Book 2 really shined for me. I liked it even better than book 1. Mallory is struggling to bounce back from a tragic event and a broken heart. In this struggle she finds the backbone I felt she was missing in book 1. That made me like her much better and made the story more enjoyable to me. This was my main criticism of book 1- Mal seemed weak and a pushover. I found myself cheering for her as she found her strength in the face of very difficult times. In book 1, I also struggled a little with the formality of the way Mal and Alex interacted. That fell away in this installment. I noticed it every once in a while but generally it felt natural. Maybe it just took me longer to meld with this couple than usual. Or possibly it was that Mal was a little stronger and Alex was more subdued. Either way it flowed more naturally. Once again, the story was a thrill ride. Lots of mystery, intrigue and twists along the way plus lots (and lots and lots) of sex. This author is very skilled at writing both kinky and vanilla sex scenes and an in making you believe the emotional connection in and outside the bedroom (and dungeon). It's a good thing- considering how many of these scenes are In the book. I enjoyed book 1 but I really connected with book 2 and I almost couldn't stand to put it down. It was a great story. There was only one ridiculous part. After the big climatic traumatic event of the book they went out to eat! I don't want to give it away but this is like MAJOR and they left the scene and went out to eat! I was like WTH? Maybe it's an English thing? Lol. Great job, Mary. I'm excitedly starting book 3 now.

In the second book of this trilogy, we begin with a cracked Mallory. She's been through h-e-double hockey sticks (because profanity it frowned upon).
She's not completely broken, but you can see the fissures left by all of the things she has been through in the last 2 months. All the while, she's battling her way through. One day, and one small step at a time. Then, she gets a wonderful promotion that sends her closer to the man she's trying to forget holds the biggest part of her. Though, it also gets her further away from the memories that are haunting her.
Then she finally sees him, Alex Stone. Her ex-lover. He's got someone else on his arm, and she's devastated by that and the secrets he's kept from her.
While he begs for forgiveness, and she tries to allow her heart to heal, enters another set back. Her stalker is back.
It's going to get worse before it gets better. But you'll have to read it to know what's truly going on. Happy reading.

The saga continues, what troubles will find this couple next. Definetly a must read series.
Yeah this author has been added to my favorites list. She has once again done such an amazing job building this world of characters that have truly fallen in love with. This is a book I will be rereading again and again.
Book 2 Mallory is trying to move on after the attack & her true love leaving when she gets a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel to England to travel for work will she see the guy that shattered her heart? And another letter what in the world such suspense with a touch of bdsm like the first book! Will mal get her happy ending?! You will have to wait & see
